Lavender Oil (Southern France)

Lavender oil—we source ours from southern France. A friend from Long Island has family who own a large amount of land there, where they steam distill an excellent-quality lavender oil. It’s actually grown near Mont Ventoux.

Lavender oil has excellent repellent properties, mainly due to linalool, a naturally occurring terpene. It is also well known for its calming effects when used in aromatherapy with a diffuser.

Some people use lavender oil to help them sleep as a mild sedative. Simply place 2 drops on the back of your pillow.
